How to Change a Blog Template - Image Tip

Many times the header and background of a blog are images that the creator has uploaded to an online storage place, such as their own website or even a site like Photobucket. It is very important that you go through your new template's HTML and find all of the image URLs.

Save the images to your computer and upload them to YOUR own photo storage site. (I use Photobucket.) Then, replace the original image URL with the new URL for the image.

This not only saves bandwidth use for the creator but it ensures that the images will stay.
If the creator suddenly loses files, deletes them or changes them, your blog will be affected.
However, if you save these images yourself then you won't have to worry about it!

I've noticed many times now a theme/template creator will include a file of all the images for you to download, which makes things even simpler!
